Meet Desmon

Proven Leadership and Results

I am Desmon Duncan-Walker, your incumbent City Commissioner for District With a deep-rooted family heritage and strong connections to our community, I have dedicated my tenure to serving and uplifting our district. My proven leadership and results-oriented approach have brought significant improvements and innovative initiatives to Gainesville. I am running for re-election to continue our progress and commitment to our neighbors.

I understand that policy is about people's lives and how important it is to listen and take heed to what they are saying.  From declaring Gun Violence a Public Health Crisis to championing our Equitable Development Framework and more, I am proud to have represented you by crafting policy, shaping initiatives and casting votes that have been in direct response to your advocacy, requests and needs.

There is much more for us to do.   To continue moving District 1 (and thereby, this city) forward, we need consistency in proven leadership.  I am running for re-election to continue our progress and my commitment to you and all of our neighbors throughout Gainesville.  It has been an honor and a privilege to be in your service.  Cast your vote for me - the candidate with Proven Leadership and Results!
